The 5 inch diameter is thicker than the pole that came with my tower, so my big guy can really wrap his paws around it. Both M8 holes lined up perfectly and it screwed on in under a minute.
Replaced the worn-out pole on my cat tower and this 20.5 inch beige one matches the original almost exactly. The 5 inch diameter gives my big guy plenty to dig into, and he was back to scratching within minutes.
The M8 screw holes lined up perfectly with my old base and I had it swapped in under five minutes. My cat went straight for it, and the beige sisal blends way better with my living room than the frayed tan post it replaced. Feels solid enough to last this time.
