Bought this to replace a shredded pole on our cat tower and the 6 inch diameter matched the old one exactly. The beige sisal is tightly wound, so my cats can really dig their claws in without it fraying after a week. Both M8 holes took the screws straight from the old post, no drilling needed.

The M8 threads lined up perfectly with the old base, so swapping out the shredded post took about five minutes. My cat was back on her favorite perch before I'd even put the screwdriver away. Solid 24-inch height, too, tall enough for her to stretch out fully.

The 6 inch diameter is noticeably thicker than the old post, so my big guy can actually stretch out on it now. Both M8 holes lined up with his existing base and top perch without any drilling. Feels sturdy and the beige blends in way better with my living room than the old carpeted one.
