I've bought replacement poles before that wobbled after a month, but this one screws in tight top and bottom with the M8 holes and hasn't budged. The 20 inch length was exactly what I needed to rebuild the middle section. My cat was back on it the same afternoon.

The 20 inch length was exactly what I needed to add a new scratching level to my cat's tower, and the M8 holes lined up perfectly with the existing screws. The 5 inch diameter gives my big guy plenty of room to really dig in. Beige matches my setup way better than the old tan post did.

Replaced a worn-out scratching post on my cat tower with this 5 inch diameter beige pole and the M8 screw holes lined right up. The sisal is tightly wound, so my cat actually uses it instead of the couch now.
