A 14-inch, 5-inch-diameter M8 sisal pole fits only when your original post matches both thickness and screw size. Here is how to check before you buy.
Quick answer
The Sisal Pole 14 inch x 5 inchØ - M8 (Beige) is the right fit only if your cat tree’s original post is also 5 inches in diameter, 14 inches long, and uses M8 screws at both ends. If any of those three measurements differs, choose a different pole.
Why diameter and screw size must both match
A replacement sisal pole has to align with the hardware already on your cat tree. The 5-inch diameter determines whether the pole sits flush with the platforms and whether the original mounting holes line up. The M8 screw size determines whether the existing bolts will thread correctly. Matching only one of these is not enough: a 5-inch pole with the wrong screw size will not attach securely, and an M8 pole with the wrong diameter may not fit the platform cutouts or look proportionate.
Cat Tree King states this pole can be mounted on any Cat Tree King cat tree provided the original has the same thickness and screw size. That makes the original post your reference point, not the tree model name alone.
When a 14-inch length is the wrong choice
Length affects where the post sits in the overall structure. A 14-inch pole is shorter than some replacement options in the Sisal Pole range, so it suits a specific position rather than every post on a tree. If you are replacing a taller scratching post, this size will leave a gap or change the height of the platform it supports. Measure the original post from end to end, including any exposed screw, before comparing.
Beige is a color choice, not a fit variable
The beige finish matches lighter cat tree fabrics and blends into neutral rooms, but color does not affect whether the pole mounts correctly. Treat beige sisal pole sizing as a separate decision from color: confirm diameter, length, and screw size first, then choose the finish that suits your tree.
Fit-check questions before you order
- How do I measure my existing post?
- Measure the diameter across the widest point of the post, and measure the length from one mounting end to the other. Compare both numbers to 5 inches and 14 inches. If either is different, this pole is not a direct replacement. Write the measurements down before you shop so you can compare against any candidate pole.
- How do I confirm the screw size is M8?
- Check the screws or bolts that attach your current post. The product record specifies M8 threads at both ends. If your original hardware is a different size, this pole will not thread onto it.
- Does this pole fit every Cat Tree King tree?
- No. Cat Tree King says it mounts on any Cat Tree King cat tree only when the original post has the same thickness and screw size. The tree model alone does not guarantee a fit.
- What if my post is 5 inches wide but a different length?
- Diameter alone is not enough. A different length changes the height of the platform the post supports, so look for a pole in the Sisal Pole range with the same diameter, screw size, and a length that matches your original.
- Is beige the only color option for this size?
- This listing is the beige version. The supplied catalog does not list other color options for this exact 14 x 5 inch M8 pole, so treat color as a separate search if beige does not suit your tree.
Product facts
